The question the OP posed was why Americans might want an authoritarian leader. I attempted to explain why. You can try to present facts all you want but it really won’t change people’s feelings. And I agree that wealth inequality is a big part of that but I don’t think it explains Trump‘s popularity with the public. [/quote]
