My DH really loves meatloaf.
I recently came across a recipe for bbq turkey meatloaf made with both ground turkey and turkey sausage, and DH and I ate it up faster than I would have imagined possible. The recipe made two loaves and I'd intended to freeze one ... we ate it over the next couple of days instead.
I’m sorry, no offense but for most people turkey anything is not going to be better than the beef version of that same thing.
NP- That's not necessarily true! Especially the turkey sausage because of the seasonings. We have been turkey and chicken sausage (and meatball) adherents for so long that the items made with beef and pork are way too greasy and unpalatable. But that's just our family. I'm intrigued about making meatloaf with turkey sausage too though! I wouldn't think that goes with a BBQ flavor. For the OP, to be safe you could look for recipes that are beef, and even recipes for bacon wrapped meatloaves to wow your man if you know he likes food like that. Sometimes it's just the homey foods that some men really love. You know best!
