well, maybe your deferred kid will wind up better off in the end, if it was the "easier to get into" school and not necessarily his first choice. he will get to see what his options are.[/quote]

Thank you.  We are having a rough week.  One was deferred at two places and the other was rejected from one place.  Both worked very hard on their essays and ECs and now will not get to go anywhere over the break (which I know, sounds like a very privileged thing to say, but their friends who got in ED are taking off on international trips).[/quote]
