Jawando pushed forward a solution that was politically popular in the moment, but without the careful consideration or mitigation that one would expect from a policymaker with clear designs on higher office. If we were going to remove SROs, there needed to be a plan for what would replace them. That kind of careful policymaking doesn't win you big immediate headlines, but it is what I would expect and hope for. [/quote]
