[/quote] I used to live a few minutes from where he was shot in Brookline when I was in grad school. It's shocking: Brookline is such a safe area (or was). I used to go on long walks at night by myself through those streets. A friend who works at MIT told me that Nuno F. G. Loureiro was publicly pro-Israel. I truly hope that this was not related to his murder. Brookline is known as a very "Jewish" area, and it breaks my heart to think not only of Loureiro's own grieving family, but the families of all in the area celebrating the holiday there now. [/quote]
