According to an article in the Williams Record this week, Williams admitted 258 of 1,023 ED applicants for the class of 2030. 599 were flat-out denied, and 157 were deferred to the RD round. The article notes that "a small number" of deferred applicants are accepted in RD. Last year, the college accepted 18 deferred applicants. So there's a chance, but it's slim. https://williamsrecord.com/471370/news/college-admits-25-2-percent-of-early-decision-applicants-to-class-of-2030/
Look through the team rosters. You will see most of the ED pool right on those lists. Most are NE boarding schools. Nothing has changed at Williams and nothing will.
That college is a real joke. Sure it has a great math program and entertains the humanities like art history, hut lord, it doesn’t even pretend to be meritocratic in any way. I find it disturbing how content lac parents are with 1/3 of the seats being endowed athletic chairs and the lack of care these schools have for talent. Then they rely on those same athletes to pull on the good boys network to get a Goldman Sachs job. It’s stupid.
