What is changing is that women are increasingly abandoning responsibility for traditions because they are too busy making money to pay someone else to do things for their life, instead of just doing it themselves.

+1. I’m a single mom, and I keep domestic work to a bare minimum. We do a tree but that’s it, no other decorations.

Honestly expectations for parents, employees, etc have gotten completely out of control. There’s no bandwidth for anything else. [/quote]
