It's so dangerous for pedestrians when cars turn right on only green! So the second pedestrians are allowed to move, so are the cars. A lot of times there are so many pedestrians that cars can't turn right at all. It's much safer to turn right on red when pedestrians aren't present.[/quote] Usually the crosswalk sign changes first to give you time to get into the crosswalk instead of racing the right turning cars. However, don't expect the drivers to check that the crosswalk is clear. "Green means right-of-way."[/quote]
