I understand how hospital policy might result in staff delaying necessary care in order to establish that a pregnancy is truly non-viable in that situation. What I’m less clear on is what the specific concerns are when it comes to delivering what will likely be a full-term baby in a Catholic hospital. I am going to have a conversation with my OB about this this week, but are there specific complications or procedures that might be handled differently in a Catholic hospital?

I am not interested in having my tubes tied in the event that I end up needing a C-section, so the availability of that procedure is not going to impact my decision. (I also have heard that some providers are willing to perform tubal ligations at this particular hospital.)[/quote]
