Ie. Southern schools to recruit from the midwest, ie Texas, Georgia, Fla. in recruiting from Iowa, Minnesota, Dakotas. I was told most Midwestern stay midwest for college so if a kid were to apply to a Southern school, their acceptance would be given an “extra” look and acceptance by admissions. Do schools have quotas from different geographic areas? DS looking to go to Baylor from Minnesota, engineering. He is not a too, top student.
Every school wants to say they have students from all 50 states and n number of foreign countries. Being from Minnestota won’t help. Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Alaska can give a kid an edge.
