My neighbor and I both sent our kids to the same preschool that was in a church basement literally 1.5 miles down the road in a rural suburb. She was a nurse married to a doctor she'd met in the hospital.

She had 1 child older than the preschooler who was in a 4 day kindergarten while the preschooler had a 3 day week. On the days she had to take the younger one to preschool when the older one didn't have school, especially during winter, she didn't bother bundling the older one also into the car while they were eating their froot loops or whatever and watching cartoons ... because she knew she'd be home in 15 minutes anyway.

She got to the school one morning and they asked if she could come in for a meeting and she said actually she could not because she had the 5 year old still home but she could make it another day.

That teacher called her husband's actual medical practice and told the front desk that it was an emergency and she needed to talk to the Dr personally. Then apparently said she wanted to set up a private meeting about his wife.

Where she told the Dr. that his wife was regularly leaving their 5 yo son home alone and that she was VERY concerned.

Guess who the 2nd wife turned out to be.

PS the kicker is that the "meeting" was about her son's purple mittens because "purple is a girl color, not a boy color" even though the 4 yo picked them out himself. [/quote]
