AAP and Honors ARE different in MS (by how much depends on the school) but there is no such thing as AAP math in MS. AAP middle schools with have Math 7, Math 7 Honors (same as Math 8), Math 8, Algebra 1, Algebra1 Honors, Geometry, Geometry Honors, and, depending on the school, Algebra 2 Honors. For a kid struggling in 6th grade AAP Math, you'd be looking at Math 7 or Math 7 Honors. [/quote]
