[/quote] If your player is a “trap year” player but can still compete at a high level with the current team, then not much will change. However, remember that older trap-year players who move down to their respective SY (school year) groups will add more competition. At the end of the day, every kid—whether SY or BY (birth year), whatever you want to call it—is competing. Positions aren’t given; they’re earned. Teams don’t care what grade your child is in—they care about performance and fit.[/quote]
