I suspect the median this year (across all rounds) will be similar to last year. Of course, 1530 is sufficient for UChicago or any other T10 school. My own kid got 35 on ACT on first try and stopped there. No point in wasting their time on more testing. That said, it’s delusional to think that 1530 (insert your favorite number) ensures acceptance to UChicago (or any other T10 school).
