I’m not sure you’ve really read some of the prior posts. Maybe stop calling him a quitter. It is perfectly fine to stop activities and move on. The issue here is that nothing has replaced it. Stop focusing on college; he needs help now. I would not focus too much attention to the prior posters who are saying their kids are opting out of a stressful situation bc *your* kid is not articulating that. Also, those kids still seem engaged, while yours doesn’t. I think you need to do more work on getting to the bottom of it, since you already know he has mental health issues. How is his friend situation?[/quote]
