They think it's fun to watch.  And the ones who went to elite schools are anti-DEI. Even the ones who might have benefitted from it. It's basically just a sophisticated version of "owning the libs".

The ones who didn't go to elite schools don't care.  Rationally, they know that talented people come from many schools and this isn't affecting their constituents much.  Plus why would they expend political capital to try to take victories away from the Trump administration?

I did see some R complaints related to one Southern flagship.

The base doesn't care much about higher education.  Remember that Trump loves rhe uneducated.[/quote]
