I lived in a Buddhist culture for years. Despite what you read online in western media, Buddhist religious practices in implementation are often even more sexist than Christianity. Furthermore their entire value system is entirely different than countries with Christian histories where [b]Buddhist cultures promote conformity and contentment over economic innovation and prosperity[/b]. Which in and of itself is not necessarily “bad” however the data speaks for itself. More people want to leave there and emigrate to the west than westerners want to emigrate there. [/quote]

As another PP said, there's inter-tribal and sometimes intra-tribal violence in all of human history. For Buddhism: therehave been armed conflicts between Buddhist monks and Hindu priests.[/quote]
