[/quote] The NCS XC program is great. The girls support each other and have great camaraderie. The NCS team is smaller than STA but still strong. There are leadership opportunities even if you aren’t a varsity runner, several team captains are not in the varsity group. That said, observing other teams at meets it seems like the teams are all tight and supportive. XC lends itself to that, I think. It’s been an important and wonderful part of my daughter’s US experience![/quote]
