Some 137 activists detained by Israel for taking part in a flotilla seeking to deliver aid to Gaza arrived in Turkey on Saturday (4 October) after being deported, with two alleging that Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg was mistreated during her detention, reports Reuters.

According to Haaretz, Swedish foriegn ministry sent a note to Thrunberg's family that she was held in custody and that "She has recieved insufficient amounts of water and food" and "spoke of harsh treatment" the email said.

The activist also reportedly told Swedish officials that she was forced to pose pictures holding the Israeli flag.

If this is how they treat Western citizens trying to bring humanitarian aid, I absolutely horrified by the thought of how they could be treating Palestinians. They have close to 11,000 hostages being held all likely subject to worse treatment than this.[/quote]
