Soccer is the first sport kids play for a reason. The concept is easy and most kids can run and kick a ball. She will be fine. My kid didn’t switch to club until 7th grade. They made both club teams they tried out for as well as their very competitive high school team. Same teams as all the kids who were on travel since 3rd (we declined and stayed with rec four more years). And yet, still soccer is not our kid’s main sport. Get your kid into rec with some good friends and see how she likes it for next few seasons. Then she will be old enough to know whether she wants to commit to more or not. Our 12 yo is still switching sports every season like we all did as kids and we are in no hurry to make him pick. He’s a solid athlete and he’s having fun being a kid. [/quote]
