RM has IB Precalculus and you can drop to Honors Precalculus. I do not recommend any of the MCPS teachers and trying several of them on the list. Try Wyzant.
No, Wyzant will give you fakes posing as math teachers with wildly out of date methods and no knowledge of the curriculum. We got the Math tutor list from our dept at Whitman and worked with 3 tutors on various stages of math including pre-calc, algebra 2 and geometry. The teachers came from Walter Johnson mostly. They were excellent.
You have to read the reviews from Wyzant but I have had great success with them. I used three teachers from MCPS. All were not good. The last taught at Whitman and spent the entire session trying to learn the material himself. The wyzant tutor went to Blair Stem, majored in physics, and went to an ivy league. Fantastic tutor with great results.
Yeah I tried 3 from Wyzant who all purported to be geniuses. They were useless and expensive. The MCPS teachers were excellent.
