I always see a lot of old people voting. They are voting Democrat, and they have no idea what is going on with FCPS. We need to talk to the old people and empty nesters in our neighborhoods and tell them what's going on.[/quote]

FCDC opened up the process for voting for endorsements in 2023.  You did not need to be an FCDC member to vote.  You just had to sign an unenforceable pledge that you’d support the candidates seeking the FCDC endorsements who got the most votes.

This was a reaction to what happened in 2019 where Abrar Omeish exploited the prior process where only FCDC members could vote. She got scores of teenagers to join the FCDC. They were then allowed to vote for the FCDC endorsements, even though many were not old enough to vote in the general elections.  It kept Ilryong Moon from getting an endorsement in 2019 even though he was an incumbent. [/quote]
