Anyone know about this?[/quote] The way I read the policy, that would only apply if you started after the first contract date, which would have been August 4 for new teacher hires: [i]Fourteen (14) days of sick leave will be granted to the employee upon reporting on their first scheduled contract day at the beginning of each contract year. Employees who start after the first scheduled contract day or has a full time equivalent (FTE) and daily schedule hour (DSH) change in the contract year, the sick leave grant shall be prorated and adjusted accordingly. Employees on a short-term disability, long-term disability, leave of absence or workers’ compensation leave status will have their prorated sick leave granted when they return to work.[/i][/quote]
