DD (16) has a teacher who she describes as behaving in unusual ways. For instance, DD says that the teacher “crashed out” in class almost every day when describing her day after getting home from school, frequently over minor things. Then there are more extreme things. One time she ripped up a student’s homework assignment because she felt it was poorly done. Another time she belittled a student with a hearing impairment during a secure. DD doesn’t seem particularly disturbed by all this, but I am. What would you do?
What does this mean?
A secure hold when something is going on in the building so we stop movement in the halls and keep kids in their rooms . Less serious than a lockdown but still a security maneuver.
