Many of the poorest schools are, and hence should have little or no lunch debt. It's more likely to be the poorer kids at the better-off schools who rack up the debt. (And there's no good way to magically separate the debt of the families who can't afford to pay at those schools from those of richer families who just forgot, sorry. Although I would be surprised if it's that common for families who can afford to pay off their lunch debt to just allow it to accumulate anyway.)[/quote]
