Probably because they're closed on the #1 most popular bagel day.

I get that they're a Jewish bagel shop and they keep the sabbath, which is absolutely their right and of course a sign of authenticity but unless you live very close not many people are going to make a drive just to get bagels on a school/work day so a bagel shop that's really only relevant one day a week is naturally not going to get the same "love" as more accessible and convenient places. Yes.  I think if they were located more in the neighborhood, like Bethesda Bagel or CYM, then I'd be able to swing by on a non-Saturday, but I just don't make it to that area of Rockville on many days.  I was there on Sunday afternoon last week and thought of stopping at Goldberg's but of course they were closed by then.
We like Izze's as well as Bethesda Bagel.  We used to get CYM when we could walk to the truck, but it's not really worth a drive.  [/quote]
