The issue in both cases is that inflation becomes self-reinforcing as various parts of the supply chain use the opportunity to try and gain a greater share of the profits.[/quote] Not that I endorse any of the insanity going on now but the labor market is pretty weak now and probably will not be able to negotiate for higher wages. That may cap some of the inflation. Its really hard to tell what will happen and kind of insane that this is all self-inflicted.[/quote]
