She was on the pill prior to my meeting her and the first perhaps 5 years afterwards.  Then perhaps 3-4 yrs of 'Natural Family Planning' of no intercourse during monthly cycles that turned into no intercourse at anytime mostly.  The next 10 or so years on depo shots.  Her desires never changed during any of that time. Our sex life was dead because she didn't believe in taking one for the team. 
Our sex life didn't return until she was in perimenopause when I left the house and she finally began taking estrogen pills. 
I doubt she was estrogen starved in her early 20's when we met and throughout all her adult life until late 40's.  I think her sexual awakening was more the fact that I left with no discussion and was done with it.  I don't want to dredge up all the drama we lived through that night and week, but her awakening happened suddenly and completely.   All that time of dead bedroom, I venture to theorize it was her mind and not her body holding her back.  I guess I'll never know her thoughts on the subject.  She's very private and refined. I know this, she shaved her P completely bare for me a few weeks ago and I'm gonna have the best sex of my life for as long as I can.
