Ah you should be

Fcps isn’t like 90s fcps especially in ES. If you’re not a regular on the bus even if your assigned bus then you have to notify the school of transportation changes and complete a form. Now maybe your kids bus driver will say screw it and just let your kid on but that in fact is not a thing anymore. There are release procedures at the school plus transportation needs accurate counts for to and from.

Look I don’t care what you do but don’t come here and spout off like OP can do whatever the hell they want. It doesn’t work that way.

To OP: it’s fine to take your kids to school the first two weeks if you want. However in doing so you’ll create precedent and then need to inform the school that your kids will now take the bus before and after school. You also need to inform the school when you change say going out of town you pick them up after school is over. Otherwise, you child is expected to ride that bus home. Fcps is liable for what happens to your child when they enter the school front door and walk back through your homes front door. To add on this also makes anything your child does which would be “inappropriate” a school matter until they walk back through your front door to end the day. So yes if your kid is seeing kicking a dog after school (like look I’m just picking something absurd), that can be dealt with by the police, the dog owner, and the school because if your child hasn’t entered their house, technically fcps is still responsible. Now look if it’s tipping a trash can probably school doesn’t do nothing but if it’s a fight or bullying school absolutely gets to apply consequences.

Anyway the greater question was about the bus. Just know there are protocols in place focused on keeping your kid safe while going to and from school so make sure you’re following them. Plus it doesn’t take more than 90 seconds to inform the teacher a day in advance to make sure the right things happen [/quote]
