As someone who's lived in Europe for many years, both UK and Germany, illegal migration is a serious cultural tension point, deportation of people is also also what people want to see as evidenced by the large growth of populist parties. EU countries are now suspending freedom of movement specifically due to illegal migrants. Nigel Farage's Reform Party is significantly outpolling Labour, Denmark is incredibly hostile to illegal migrants and has effectively ended non EU immigration.

So this is a classic example of Europeans disliking Trump on one hand while basically doing some of the things he's doing, or trying to do. Most of the posts on here are just typical clueless internet bubble reinforcing each other's views and taking validity from unverified internet anecdotes about "family" and "friends."

Trump is indisputably unpopular in Europe and it's down to two key reasons: tariffs, and Ukraine. Though typical of Europeans their attitude towards the latter is a mess they dont want to deal with and would rather the US perpetually fund it, somehow, even though it is in their backyard, not ours. Those would be the reason for stopping travel to the US, however, I suspect much of that is driven by decline in corporate travel over tariffs more than anything else. [/quote]
