More and more convinced America has the president it deserves. You're all cut from the same hateful cloth.
Just wait until your kids from UVA/Emory can’t even score an interview bc they are not one of them. Then we can talk.
+1 It's not hateful or racist. It's fact. There's data on this and several lawsuits. It's not a criticism of the IT workers themselves. It's management, contracts and implementation of these workers (who quite frankly, would prefer to be leveraged into different jobs as well). It's a terrible situation without a lot of oversight (h1b), completely corrupted from its original intentions, and it's about to get seriously scrutinized.
I think a lot of companies in DC have this IT culture. We hired a VP from this region to run our data program, he proceeds to hire 20 people, all they do is to create Jira tickets, create PowerPoint presentations, create documentations, and it's been 2 years, our initial request for data feed from our service provider is still not done. I am still shuffling 80 spreadsheet files every day. We are not Frannie, so this guy's future will look less bright by the minute.
Surprised dc area still have IT companies .. it’s hard to get a job in this area. With this privatization more job losses.
