A lot of people come here for escapism and talk about their trials and tribulations of having a NW of 50M. But a lot of it is of questionable veracity. There’s no reason to think that the proportion of UHNW people on DCUM is several times higher than out in the world around us. There are roughly 6200 people and 2500 households in the top 0.1% in the DC area out of over 6M. My guess is a small number of them make up a large chunk of the UHNW posts and the rest are pretending. [/quote]
