Does anyone else feel this way? I mean, yes, I work and find that fulfilling. I have interests and friends. I have TV shows and movies and podcasts and books that I look forward to. I plan and take vacations. But the majority of life is just… boring.
Bro, I used to live out of my car. I used to cobble together 5 part-time jobs, some of which weren't exactly legal, trying to make ends meet. I used to eat leftovers the skinny rich people left on their plates at the fancy restaurant I was a server at, and have slept with people just to have a bed and a meal for a night. I know all the crazy folk and old-wives' remedies for most common illnesses because I couldn't afford to see a doctor for years (and we won't get into what happens to teeth when you can't afford that either...) Boring is a privilege. Yeah, my life some days gets "boring" because there's a routine now, and it's stable, and my bills get paid without worry and there's extra and my health is good and I have insurance. What a gift! How incredibly cool is my life that I can be comfortable and bored some days, and then have the means and ability to go entertain myself, even if it's just by sitting in my garden and feeding the birds, or taking a walk through my safe neighborhood. Someone in the world would be REALLY happy to have whatever "boring" problems you're dealing with today. Keep that in mind.
