We actually have hundreds of thousands of unfilled manufacturing jobs.  Many are located in NC, GA, SC and require technical skills (whether as an electrician or pipe fitter or machinist et al).

That doesn’t help the kid who graduated HS and didn’t learn any skills nor the person living in the middle of WV where there are no jobs (nor ever will be).

Of course the latter group thinks it’s due to immigrants or some other grievance.[/quote]
