When I got quotes the thermador pro was definitely cheaper — maybe 10-20% less, so not a huge difference but definitely less.  Anyway I’m not totally loving my thermador because they seem loud to me, especially after the oven is turned off.  We have an open plan kitchen so it’s a little irritating to be sitting there at dinner trying to eat and talk with the loud hum from the oven.  I don’t know if that’s common with other high end ovens but my old ge profile didn’t do that.  I’m also a little irritated because the numbers on the display aren’t as big/dark as I like so you need to be right in front of the oven to see them — you can’t glance across the room and see how much is left on the timer and how close it is to preheated.  Maybe I should download the app or something but I liked the big numbers on my old GE.[/quote]
