This wasn’t a car accident. [/quote] Car insurance covers more than collision. If a tree branch falls on the car or it gets flooded or gets burnt, comprehensive part of car insurance covers it. If OPs car insurance determines the fault was with the neighbor they can pursue reimbursement from the neighbor but the OP doesn’t have to get involved in all this unpleasantness [/quote]
