I needed a CPAP as a child, because of the way my throat is built. I was normal weight when I was finally diagnosed with severe sleep apnea in my 30s - because of the way my throat is built. Some sleep apnea is caused by or worsened by being overweight, but plenty of people who are normal weight have apnea - because of the way their throats are built.[/quote]
