Assuming these are the top times in the event for that team in the 5 weeks, Larlo’s 20.78 would be used as the Freestyler #1 spot for the virtual meet, because it is the median #1 time for the team. The median is chosen agnostic to name of the swimmer. The median process would repeat for swimmers 2 and 3. [/quote]

But then how it would it repeat for swimmers 2 and 3? Even with the maximum number of recorded times in any event, wouldn’t the median always be the same? Or does the algorithm toss the times faster than the first chosen median?

Your 3 times used in the seeding simulation would be:
Swimmer #1 20.0 (median of the #1 swimmer across 3 weeks)
Swimmer #2 21.5  (median of the #2 swimmer across 3 weeks)
Swimmer #3 22.0 (median of the #3 swimmer across 3 weeks)
