Purdue is better than any VA school but not Waaaay better than VT. And most applicants would pick Cornell engineering over Purdue. As for comparisons with Carnegie Mellon? ROFLMAO, I didn't care what USNWR says about their relative rank. In computer, electrical and mechanical, CMU is stronger. I'm not sure how they are tied unless you put a lot of weight on things like civil and industrial.[/quote]
