But also, the fact that it was the middle of the night and foggy does seem like it could be a factor.  But to not see a huge pink suitcase when you fully ran over it? This. I have never been to the hamptons but the idea of rich people getting off a train and hoofing it down a long stretch of road is hilarious to a commoner like me. Don't they have car services and ubers?

The previous article (linked in the NY Post story) says the victim was hit near Villa Paul. I looked it up on Google maps and it appears there is a sidewalk there. The linked article also says that the victim was walking in the roadway in the westbound lane, which means she was in the road facing traffic - maybe trying to cross the street?

Also, it was 3 in the afternoon, so sure she could have been drinking, but maybe not.
