My children don't want to be in organized instruction from 8:15 am until 6 p.m, Mon-Friday. I want them to have painting, instrument instruction and choral practice before 4 pm. - despite racial and country-of-origin diversity at our particular NW DC private, I nevertheless feel like DCs live in a rarefied world. Nothing is messy, ever. No one is poor. No one is "rowdy." I feel this is calming, and yet not good training for life. [/quote]
