Nothing unethical about it. In basketball, it usually happens with big post players and with exceptional guards. The in between guys usually don’t get it. Custom is to not do it with a junior. Rather use it for Freshmen and Sophomores who are talented enough to be exposed to varsity practice that young, but not quite good enough to crack major minutes with the varsity.
