I'd be frustrated if you were giving my kids snack on the way home from, say, a 7 pm end time and I was planning on a 7:30 dinner. Yeah my kid is hungry but I'm about to feed them a meal. On the other hand after a summer double header that ends at 9 my kid is starving because I fed her at 4:30 so she ate a smaller than usual dinner. In that case I have a second dinner type snack that's protein heavy for her because she just played ball for 4 hours. This is probably also age dependent. Older elementary kids are starving at nearly all times.[/quote]
