I always think it's odd when I see or hear of women in their 60s and above getting plastic surgery. Just seems like by that age you should have moved beyond the point of caring so much what other people think and have reached a point of acceptance. Also self-awareness that no one really GAF anymore if you're hot or not at your age. Sorry to be harsh. Also risks of surgery truly do go up as you get older, even for something as minor as a nose job. Surgical risks of anesthesia, infection, unexpected consequences are one thing at 25, entirely different at 60.
I don't wear makeup and never really GAF about much of this stuff. Always looked younger than my age and fine with it. Yet late stage menopause/early 60s has not been kind to my hair, frizzing when it seems like there is just one percent of humidity in the air. Somehow it ages me and I just hate it. So now I get a blow dry/style 1X week, sometimes more if there is a big event. Feels like it has taken both years off me as well as lightened my mood. I don't fret about the expenditure because I've never really spent any many on cosmetics/hair until this point.
