Please read this story - https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/06/06/supreme-court-doge-social-security-privacy-data/ Everyone who has interacted with Social Security - including kids whose only interaction is getting a Social Security number - should be concerned about the Supreme Court's action. The lower court and appeals court put reasonable limits on how much individual, identifiable personal data the DOGE bros could get to put into their AI model. Then the Supreme Court jumped in ahead of schedule and just gave them everything, no questions asked, and even said in a separate ruling that the public can't get info through FOIA about what these dudes are up to with our bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, medical histories, work and pay history, etc. Is it just that the justices don't have the know-how to understand what they're giving away? This is an abrupt change from the way the govt in all other Republican and Dem administrations tried to respect our privacy. In the past, all other administrations tried to protect our info from being manipulated or monitored or stolen by anything from an AI model to a billionaire interested for personal reasons to a cybercriminal to China and Russia. As Social Security Works said: No one in history -- no commissioner, no president, no one -- has ever had the access that these DOGE minions have.
