We're talking about organizations applying for non-profit tax exemptions. The 501(c) law says that inherently political orgs aren't supposed to be eligible for tax exempt status. We're talking about orgs with things like "Tea Party" right in the name. The correct answer should have been to deny them outright. And those orgs were wrong to even apply in the first place. What Lois Lerner did was to dither and delay when the action should have been clear. "Weaponized" and "targeted" are such a dishonest and ludicrous misrepresentation.[/quote]
