It’s typical for kids to stay steady or even drop in MAP btw spring and fall (look at the avg growth trend chart), as they aren’t learning any math over summer and likely forgetting much of what they learned in the spring. Unless you supplement over summer of course. The spring ‘25 score seems like the anomaly. Is it possible DC was tired, not feeling well?[/quote]

Or it could normal variance based on getting one or two questions wrong earlier or later. You parents need to stop helicoptering and Tiger moming so much. It’s ridiculous. You’re nitpicking a score that is at the 99% percentile for grade level and fretting over it. News flash. Unless you’re doing home enrichment, this is perfectly normal. You want to raise an independent, hardworking child? You’re not going to be there when they start college or their first job. Stop looking over their shoulder every step of the way and maybe make sure they’re a more well rounded individual with pursuits and actual passions outside of math. [/quote]
