I used it to lose 15 lbs and am now super slim. I love how I feel on this drug. My intention was the same as yours - take it to lose these stubborn lbs then stop. But it's so refreshing to not be obsessed with food, battling hunger, monitoring calories all the time. I am so peaceful now. I am taking .75 mg per week which is less than half of the 2.5 starting dose of my GLP (tirzepatide) and I think I could stand to lower the dose even more and feel the positive effects (less hunger, staying full for many hours after eating, fewer cravings). I am so thankful for this medication!
how long were you on 2.5?
I keep a spreadsheet, so I can tell you exactly. 9 weeks on 2.5. Lost 10 lbs and stalled out for a couple of weeks, so went to 3.5 for the next 5 weeks. Then moved down by .5 each week until I got to 1, where I stayed for 3 weeks. Now I'm moving down by .25 per week. Total weight loss actually 21 lbs at this point, but I wouldn't mind gaining back a few. I just don't want to stop this med because I hate the feeling of hunger. And it drove me to do really unhealthy things, like binge eat. That's a non-issue now on this med.
