At our club, subs will usually play 10-20 mins of each half.

But no, I highly doubt you will find a club where subs are playing half the game. I think that is the recommendation but in practice, I rarely see it happen. Which makes it tough for the players because all MLSNext players are likely coming from teams where they were the starters and getting plenty of playing time. [/quote]

This is part of why we are happy our U13 is moving to an MLS next 2 team instead. We are hoping it will mean good playing time vs the higher pressure environment of MLS next top tier. He is leaving an EDP 1 team where the coach cannot handle player rotation and has the same 8 kids playing all of the game and the other 9 players duke it out for the remaining minutes, it’s awful and some kids play 2-5 minutes. Our player plays a good 15-20 minutes per half and is a super hard worker, runs his tail off and does what the coach needs so he doesn’t often start but they can’t deny his value. [/quote]
