I think this is the issue for many kids. There aren't other kids to do free play with. Mine play recess at soccer, but outside of that there aren't neighborhood kids who want to kick a soccer ball around. They all play lacrosse, football, basketball, and/or hockey. If we want to get kids together who enjoy soccer it has to be this planned thing where the parents coordinate and decide on a location. So might as well just sign up for something where the schedule is predictable. It stinks.[/quote]

I do love that my kids chose to play with a big group daily at recess though!
